Now that Fashion Week is over, there’s a little more time to breathe here in NYC. I had a great time at the catwalks, and wanted to share a few firsthand glimpses of what the madness is all about. One of my favorite (and one of the most fun) shows of the week was at Fashion for Relief. This charity project, headed by Naomi Campbell, benefits a different cause each year–this year was for Haiti.
The scene backstage is intense: There are scores of models, stylists and clothes from MANY different designers. In addition to standout supermodels like Helena Christensen and Agyness Deyn, the catwalk also featured celebrities ranging from Kelly Osbourne to photographer David LaChapelle to famed designers Diane von Furstenberg and Donna Karan! I took quite a few pics from my seat, but my favorite was of British socialite Daphne Guinness in Alexander McQueen during an impromptu retrospective:
